About Me

Art has always been a deep source of joy in my life. I grew up in a home where creativity was part of our everyday rhythm – my mother’s artistic talent filled our world with beauty, while my father explored pottery in his spare time, his hands often shaping clay into something meaningful.

I started taking commissions while still at school, encouraged by inspiring art teachers who challenged and nurtured my passion along the way. My background in graphic design has also shaped how I see the world – especially when it comes to colour, composition, and detail.

Nature is my greatest muse. During my holidays, I collect reference photos in nature reserves and other beautiful places in our country. The Kruger National Park is my happy place, closely followed by the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park and the lush beauty of iSimangaliso Wetland Park, with Cape Vidal being my favourite escape.

I have a lovely studio at home where all the magic happens. My two furry companions, a Yorkie and a Miniature Schnauzer, follow me diligently, and in winter, you’ll find them curled up in front of the gas heater, cosy and content, while I work.

I usually have several paintings in progress at once – oil paint, after all, needs time to dry – and you’ll often find pieces at various stages around the studio. I love experimenting with mark-making and layering techniques to give my work a contemporary feel. I’m also committed to using high-quality materials for all my artwork and gifts, so that each piece will stand the test of time.

Recently, I’ve returned to teaching – something that brings me so much joy. I offer a small weekly class for adults, giving each student personal attention and space to grow. They never cease to inspire me with their creativity and spirit.

To make my art more accessible, I’ve also introduced a curated selection of gifts to my online shop – thoughtful items designed to bring beauty, usefulness, and a touch of joy to your everyday life.

Whether you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind-artwork or a meaningful gift, I hope you find something here that speaks to your soul and brings a moment of calm to your space. My goal is simple: to create pieces that bring warmth, peace, and inspiration – one brushstroke at a time.
